⇒ Together z and z* are called a complex conjugate pair

⇒ For any complex number z, the product of z and z* is a real number.

⇒ You can use this property to divide two complex numbers

⇒ To do this, you multiply both the numerator and the denominator by the complex conjugate of the denominator and then simplify the result

• The method used to divide complex numbers is similar to the method used to rationalise a denominator when simplifying surds
